BRIT SOAP MACHINERY

Duplex Vacuum Plodder Extruder For Soap Manufacturing

Heavy-duty duplex vacuum plodder engineered for final refining, vacuum extraction, and extrusion of soap billets.Delivers dense, homogeneous soap with smooth texture and superior bar quality.

The Core Machine For High-Quality Soap Bar Production.

The Brit Soap Duplex Vacuum Plodder is a critical machine in the soap finishing line designed to refine, compress, and extrude soap into dense, uniform billets or bars.

Positioned after the Triple Roll Mill, the machine removes trapped air, improves product homogeneity, and ensures consistent extrusion of soap bars with the desired shape and size.

Engineered with robust construction, dual motor drives, and an integrated vacuum system, the Duplex Vacuum Plodder ensures smooth processing, improved product quality, and reliable operation in high-capacity soap manufacturing plants.

Soap Cutting processs

Homogenized soap ribbons from the Mill are transported via a motorized elevating conveyor and fed into the top barrel of the Duplex Vacuum Plodder.

A specially designed slow-speed worm screw pulls the soap into the compression zone and forces it through a noodling plate, further refining, filtering, and homogenizing the soap mass.

The refined soap noodles fall into the vacuum chamber, where a strong vacuum removes trapped air to produce a dense, uniform product.

The soap is then pushed through the bottom compression barrel and finally extruded through a heated compression nose cone and extrusion plate, producing a continuous billet with the desired cross-section.

Why Is Duplex Vacuum Plodder An Important Machine In Soap Production

The Duplex Vacuum Plodder plays a critical role in determining the final quality of the soap bar. Without effective vacuum plodding, soap bars may suffer from cracks, air bubbles, poor finish, and inconsistent weight. This robust machine helps in achieving;

Removal of air pockets

Uniform density across the soap bar

Improved structural strength of the product

Smooth and consistent extrusion

Enhanced finishing quality before stamping

Machine Overview

The Brit Soap Duplex Vacuum Plodder is a robustly engineered machine mounted on a heavy-duty steel frame, designed for stable operation and long service life in industrial soap manufacturing.

Built as a two-stage plodder, the machine incorporates a vacuum chamber connected to a high-efficiency vacuum pump that removes entrapped air from the soap mass, ensuring dense and homogeneous soap billets.

The final compression barrel is fitted with a heated compression nose cone and interchangeable extrusion plates, enabling the extrusion of a continuous soap billet with the required cross-sectional shape for downstream cutting, stamping, and finishing.

The plodder is designed with an optimised screw length-to-diameter ratio of 4.5, providing efficient compression, stable material flow, and consistent extrusion during soap processing.

For durability and hygiene, the barrels and all product-contact parts are manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel and fitted with cooling jackets to regulate temperature during extrusion. The screws are cast from Aluminium-Silicon (LM6) alloy and precision machined with minimal clearance between screw and barrel, ensuring efficient compression, reduced wear, and long operational life.

Available Configurations

Duplex vacuum soap plodder machine for billet extrusion

Single Worm Duplex Vacuum Plodder

Designed for standard soap formulations, the single worm plodder provides reliable compression, refining, and extrusion for most toilet and laundry soap production lines. This configuration offers efficient compression, smooth extrusion, and consistent billet density for most soap manufacturing applications. Ideal for production of Standard toilet soap formulations, Laundry soap production, plants requiring stable, continuous extrusion

  • We can also supply Triplex Plodders (single worm / twin worm) on request.

Twin Worm Duplex Vacuum Plodder

Twin Worm Duplex Vacuum Plodder The twin worm configuration is designed for challenging soap formulations, especially when the material is highly sticky, hard, or difficult to compress. Two intermeshing screws provide improved feeding, stronger compression, and better material movement through the plodder, ensuring stable extrusion even with demanding formulations. The twin worm design ensures improved material handling, better compression stability, and smoother extrusion under difficult processing conditions. Ideal for production of soap with sticky formulations, hard soap bases, high additive content soaps, or specialty soap formulations, and for high throughput production lines
