High-Accuracy Electro-Pneumatic Cutting For Modern Soap Finishing Lines
The Brit Soap Automatic Vertical (AV) Pneumatic Cutter is a precision cutting machine designed to cut continuously extruded soap bars into uniform tablet lengths.
Installed directly after the Duplex Vacuum Plodder and before downstream processing, the machine receives the continuous soap billet from the extruder and divides it into accurately sized bars ready for stamping or packaging.
Using encoder-controlled cutting synchronization, the cutter moves at the same velocity as the soap bar during the cutting cycle, ensuring clean, distortion-free vertical cuts and precise bar length control.
The Cutting Process
The soap exits continuously from the plodder nose cone and moves directly onto the AV Cutter conveyor, aligned with the extruder outlet.
An encoder measures the linear speed and length in real time. Once the preset bar length is reached, the encoder sends a cutting signal.
The pneumatically driven knife travels at the same velocity as the moving soap bar, ensuring a perfect vertical cut without distortion. The cut bars proceed further for stamping, or packaging operations
