The
Britannia Soap Drying Chamber permits the soap
manufacturer to turn his liquid neat soap into dried,
cooled, solid soap in just a few seconds, by boiling off
the excess moisture under carefully controlled vacuum
conditions. The chamber is cylindrical with a centrally
mounted shaft to which are mounted the soap spray nozzle
and the soap scraper blades. As the shaft rotates, so
the soap is sprayed onto the chamber walls where it
solidifies. The scraper blade then removes it from the
chamber walls depositing it onto the infeed throat of
the outfeed plodder screw.
